Thanks to everyone who came to CLUB UN-GEOFF last week. It was both a comforting and strangely lonely experience, performing solo. But I enjoyed it. Felt a bit like floating in space while slowly disintegrating.
I sat on a chair while covered in flowers and glitter and sang some songs. This activity was recorded onto a machine that records sound and now YOU can place it in your ears by virtue of a spinning black circle. Or a smaller spinning silver circle.
Observe, thus:
A Bell Sings In Your Head is a recording of a solo performance of Shining Tongues songs. Minimalist, stripped down, and slowly melting into translucent slime. I opened my mouth and it happened, I saw it, I saw it.
It is out now on 12” vinyl (first run limited to 100 copies) and CD. Physical objects made of matter only for now. Although it will emerge onto Bandcamp eventually.
By the way, I haven’t gone insane or anything. This is just a live album and I am very pleased with it. I hope that you will enjoy making the circles spin around so that the sound comes out and goes all over your carpet.
Stop leaving damp towels everywhere and buy one of these records so I can afford to stuff my mouth with the glowing orbs of carbohydrates that haunt my dreams.
